McCain's old. He might die in the White House. Romney is as close to a third term for Bush as people get. I would not be comfortable with him in the White House.

What links do you see between Romney and Bush? I have no love for Mittens, but I think he'd be a much more effective and less predictable President than Bush would.

Don't think this won't come up if McCain picks Pawlenty.

I just shorted Romney on Intrade, so hopefully I can make a quick $15 today.

Alas that's only an issue in Minnesota, and McCain was never going to win here anyway.

It will be Romney. There's really not much else to it.

Do a right click to get the file name.   Carol Molnau, the Lt. Governor.

I doubt it will be Mitt Romney that will be selected as McCain's running mate. It will be a safe conservative Governor, who's name is not Mark Sanford of South Carolina, thus one of the only options is Governor Tim Pawlenty of Minnesota. As Lunar said earlier, we all know many people think it will be Romney that's picked. Case closed. No need to create a thread about it.

I am encouraged the response of Minnesota Democrats to McCain-Pawlenty is to post the most unfeminine pictures of Molnau they can find.

There aren't many "feminine" looking shots of Molnau anyway so...

Gitmo's pretty disturbing. There are other things about Romney like torture & the Bush tax cuts that McCain went back on during the primaries, but there's the hope that that was just primary talk.

If McCain picks Romney, that's basically saying he does intend to extend the Bush tax cuts & continuing to torture detainees. In that case, I could no longer support McCain.

I can think of a few other things that just shot up in the air...

Will you never stop thinking about your clandestine tryst with Pawlenty?

Uh...what?

He's talking about when you played grab ass with Pawlenty the other day.

Oh, tut tut, unlike you and Santorum, or you and Pawlenty, I have never had certain actions with a certain politician.

Sorry. I wasn't looking for a comeback to something so disturbing. Even more disturbing - You were probably being serious.
