When Jesse the Body is put in the running it's...

Coleman 39%
Franken 32%
Jesse the Body 24%

That would also turn the race into a complete circus, of course.

What share of that 27% were Republicans hoping he'd siphon off votes from the Democrat?

I'm glad that Franken is apparently edging closer to Coleman again and I think that despite the fact that he has suffered numerous blows/scandals to his campaign Franken always returns and closes again demonstrates that he can and will win in November.  He is not the best candidate and in a way I am annoyed that the DFL couldn't find a better candidate (Betty McCollum comes to mind) but he will be saved by the dynamics of the year with Barack Obama beating John McCain by something like 54%-43% statewide.

Coleman (R): 39%
Franken (D): 32%
Ventura (I): 24%

Filing deadline is on Tuesday, Ventura says he won't decide for sure until then.

It's really sad that Ventura is polling this well... please don't elect this joke to the Senate, Minnesota. I shudder to think what he's going to do there.

Actually, on second thought, it might be really hilarious.

He's already a joke. He's not getting elected. He's only winning the votes of people who don't want to vote for either Coleman or Franken basically, nothing on his own merits.

I would actually advise many Democrats to start supporting him.  This may be the only way they get rid of Coleman.

It could the only mean to eject Coleman of the Senate.

If they some Democrats see than Franken will lose, they will perhaps vote for Ventura for defeating Coleman.

If Franken goes in the race that will probably be very interesting.

I think it would work the other way, they split the anti-establishment crowd.

Re-release a poll? What is the purpose of that?

Because Ventura has opened his trap again.
