Another badly worded poll.

http://money.cnn.com/2004/04/15/news/economy/election_moneypoll/

here's a poll kind of contradicting your poll.

you can mold the result of any poll if you phrase the question right.

Which only proves that the average voter doesn't have the slightest f***ing clue what they are talking about.  When 21% of Atheists believe in God....

Siboleth-Oooh... would you be happy for all the foreign investment in the United States to disappear as well? Or is that differerent?

Sbane- I am assuming you are talking about this question? I think I answered everything else. Like I have said before in this thread I have nothing against foreign investment nor do I care how anybody chooses to spend/invest their money. I just think that giving tax cuts to rich people leads to greater amounts of that money leaving the united states. Giving that tax cut to Joe sixpack will most likely lead to consumption which is what the US economy needs.

P.S.- Thanks for attacking me because my family has been successful.... talk about bitter. Also let me know if I have answered all your questions or if you have more for me.

I think I answered everything else.

Actually you didn't, but, meh.

Halt.

When, exactly, did I suggest that giving rich people tax cuts was a good idea?

Isn't "Joe Sixpack" one of those stupid euphemisms for "ordinary people" frequently used by people who are certainly not "ordinary"? I don't see how members of the upper middle class can seriously be thought of as being "ordinary people". Nor do they deserve a tax-cut.

At what point did I attack your family?

sbane- No I do not want foreign investment to go away in any country, I just do not think that tax cuts should be spent as investments in a foreign country.

Sbane- Again tax cuts being the key word. I have nothing against foreign investment. People have a right to do whatever they want with their money, which is why I am advocating giving tax cuts to the middle class, who by necessity will spend it in America.

Sbane- You might not have but Bush certainly did. I was disagreeing with his policy of giving most of the tax cuts to the obscenely rich.

Sbane- I never said the upper middle class "deserved" a tax cut. Please stop putting words in my mouth. Tax cuts are done to stimulate the economy, not to give "deserving" people money. Anyways in this very thread I advocated giving tax cuts to the real middle class. I just do not think taxes should be raised on families making less than about $300,000. I did not advocate a tax cut for the upper middle class so I dont know where you are getting that.

At what point did I attack your family?

Sbane- You did it when you said I " showed my true colors"  and when you implied I supported a tax cut for the upper middle class because my family is such. That is a complete fabrication of my position.

Ah, so this is how Obama will repay the class that have given him so much money.

That Obama supports redistribution to the upper middle class is hardly a surprise: They're his strongest backers (were in the primary at least.)

Obama's plan allegedly redistributes money from the top 1% mostly to the top 20% income, aka the upper middle class enrichment act, and soak the hyper rich. Read all about it here.

Gee, this is exactly what I was expecting from an Obama administration. Good to see my working-class sense of cynicism about liberal yuppies is right yet again. Roll Eyes
