Perhaps it could well be a repeat of 1996?  However, I think the Democrat here faces being dragged down by Obama.  I don't see the latter improving on John Kerry's performance in Kentucky - I just hope he doesn't do any worse...

Well McConnell should certainly be watching this closely as he's under 50% but with the Democrats polling that far behind he's not in any imminent danger.

I'm not optimistic. McConnell will win by a stable margin. A shame though, he's one of my least favorite senators.

His job approval numbers actually seem to look a bit better than I remember—they were upside down for a while.
