Can anyone give me a sense of how the Senate race in New Mexico is shaping up?  Isn't this a Dem pickup?  Or is it a tossup?

The Republicans are destroying each other in a very bloody primary and Udall has a huge cash advantage. Latest poll also had him up by 14. Add in the sad state of the NRSC... I think we're almost certain to pick up this seat (and Virginia FTR).

Udall has the clear advantage for now.

Pearce and Wilson are engaged in the bloody primary, as mentioned above.  I give Pearce the slight edge right now.  However, at the first debate between the two (from what I saw), Wilson simply massacred him, making him look like an idiot on a number of things.  However, I don't think anyone watched the debate, so I don't know whether there was any impact.

In sum, I agree with was said above, but with the caveat:  Remember, this is New Mexico - strange things happen here because the voters are highly unpredictable and the people who run the elections are crooked.

It's a write off Sam. The only issue is how many scions of John D. Lee of Mountains Meadows Massacre and Lee's Ferry fame get into the Senate.

lol

You're probably right.  But it isn't as lost as Virginia, of course, b/c neither of the candidates is a joke.  And this is NM.

The race will probably tighten but Udall should win.

I am starting to agree looking at the bloodiness of the GOP primary.
