I say it makes things look pretty good. Tongue  Thank you, George Bush.

It surprises me that young people were so Republican in 1992 though.

If they don't go to the polls, it won't matter.  What is sad about the graph is that it doesn't ask kids about being Indpendent.  It would look totally different.

And it would pollute the numbers, because it is asking toward what party one leans (in your case, you'd be a GOP-leaning independent).  The purpose is generic party preference, not party self-identification (despite what the title of the chart might say.)

You know me . . . anything to get people to pull their heads out of their butt and realize there's more to this world than (R) and (D).  Tongue

Well, youth voting is on the rise.  And with a rising disparity like that, it doesn't take much of an increase (it is increasing, not staying flat or decreasing) to tip the scales.

And that's just percentage wise.

The number of 18-29 year olds has risen quite dramatically from 1992 when the "baby busters" (the period of relatively few births after the baby boom) were coming of age compared to now when the "echo-boomers" (children of the baby boomers, and the largest young generation in American history) is coming to age.  There are about 75 million young people today compared to just 50 million in 1992.

Reagan.

Well, that's simplifying it, of course. But "Reagan" will suffice for now.

It was because of all the years of pro-Reagan brainwashing by the schools.
