Well, maybe not really a senator hopeful. He wants 5% of the vote as in Indie.

This is for Craig's seat, by the way.

What the hell is up with Idaho?

What's the point?  Jim Risch - the next senator to take over from Larry Craig - is also pro-life.

What a freak.

Now what are the odds on this guy causing enough voters to spoil their ballots to make the seat go to the Democrat?

"Yeah, I'm for the Republican, I'll vote for him.... And it says Pro-Life here, I'll mark that..."

So apparently he wants to get out the word that abortion is baby murder. Thank God because in Idaho that's unheard-of.

But yeah, really he could end up confusing people and end up being a spoiler for the Democratic nominee Larry LaRocco. Ironic. Unlikely, though, still.

Yeah, it would be funny if he did end up being a spoiler.

"I think it's just and I think it's proper to have Pro-Life on the ballot," he told the Idaho Press-Tribune of Nampa. "If I save one baby's life, it's worth it."

How does he expect to prevent even one abortion just by having someone named "Pro Life" on the ballot?

There is a perennial candidate in Houston.  When he first started running he was Sam Fayad.  He later ran as Sam "Texas" Fayad; then Sam Texas; and this last election he ran as Sam "Tejas" Texas.  I'm pretty sure he has run as a Republican, an Independent, and now a Democrat.

Texas also elected Jesse James as State Treasurer for 36 years, he was succeeded by Warren G. Harding, who was in turn succeeded by Ann Richards.  All 3 were Democrats, naturally.

Don't forget when a perennial candidate in New Jersey tried to get his name changed to "NJWeedman.com".

Scary to think Idaho is less than 10 miles away from me.

Anyway, in 1992, a candidate for Lt. Governor in Washington changed their name to "Absolutely Nobody" and got 7%.

If I ever ran for office, I'd be sure to legally change my name to 'Adolph Corruption McBastard' first.

The fact he is running for Senate is current news. The fact that he changed his name is old news.

Richardson used to be a member of the Constitution Party, but is a member of the anti-Mormon and anti-Catholic group that left when the national party wouldn't kick out the Nevada state affiliate party who are mostly Mormon.

Oh yeah, so you'll have your second name stricken from your passport. Because 'Stalin' isn't much of a vote winner.
