Which would you prefer? (Loosely inspired by the BushOK saga.)

Anyway, I would most likely prefer a staycation, unless the vacation would be to Tennessee. A staycation would enable me to jog, not have to spend a ton of money, etc...

As someone who is doing a LOT of travelling over the next 2 weeks - a staycation sounds great.

Vacations would be far more enjoyable for me, if Captain Kirk would  just beam me up and then down to my chosen venue. Doing it using the primitive transporting devices that we have is an exercise in masochism unless having your own Gulf Stream can be accommodated by your budget.

I could have sworn you said you would enjoy being felt-up at airports?  Tongue

I like both. It depends a lot on my mood, who I'm with and so on. This Christmas/New Year I'm going to be home which will be nice. Later, in January, I'm going to Egypt which will also be fun.

Given I was SUPPOSED to be going to Fiji for Christmas and then that fell through - my preference for a stay over a vaca, would be slightly different.

Vacation, in my current state of living.  Staying at home is just a miserable experience.  Once I have my own living space and such, a "staycation" would certainly be alright.

I haven't been on a vacation in many years. I forget what even happens during one.

I have not had that "pleasure" yet, but yes, I would indeed look forward to it. I am not a shy person. Tongue

I haven't had a vacation in a full 7 months!! It was Memorial Day 2010 when we drove to Albuquerque for a visit with family.

I prefer vacations over staycations, BTW.  I also disagree with Torie, I think the trip to get to the destination, whether by car or by air, is almost as fun as the destination itself.

I don't consider a drive with family... to see family a vacation.

I don't consider myself to have had a good vacation for about 3 years.

I hate travelling itself, unless it is a particularly pretty drive or there's good company in the car, and I'm not the best flier.

Hahaha I know someone who flips out in planes. When babies cry and people talk or sneez she flips a lid and starts yelling at people telling them to stop. I was lucky enough to get on a plane with her and right next to her. She made me laugh so hard. And of course me laughing so hard didn't help. Lol she is a funny spaz.

The only thing I hate about flying is my ears remain clogged for several hours or even a few days after landing.  Even chewing gum doesn't help a whole lot.
