Most of the new voters are younger voters who I tend to think that will stay democratic.

Stop kidding yourself, my friend. I like you, but really, some of the things you say make no sense. I can rattle off a lot of friends here at school and people that are friends with my family in the state that have switched so they can vote in the Democrats primary, either for Hillary to keep the race going or for Obama because they want to see Hillary lose. NC has always had more Dem registered voters than Republican ones. It's growing by leaps and bounds because of the upcoming primary.

Sure, some of them are young voters. They are having huge voter registration drives here on campus, but they tend to be run by the Democrats and they automatically register you as a Dem without really telling you. They tried to do that to me, but I explains to them the meaning of voter fraud and since I voted in SC already, they were actually setting me up to go to jail.

...until they get older. This generation will be no different in that respect to previous ones and to think otherwise is deluded.

Ever heard of the "three cycles" theory? It states that a person who votes for the same party three election cycles in a row will stick with it for life (which of course means that I will forever be a Democrat.)
