I'm sure it was just some miscomunication or something, but damn, that's a bit harsh don't cha think?  I don't remember the last time I was in American airport and didn't see a few guys traveling in uniform, is it unusual in the UK?  I've heard before (but never believed it) that the military in Europe doesn't get the same level of respect from the locals that the military in the US does.  We love our military here, to a fault probably.  Is it not the same over there?
