Now that we are a mere 8 days from entering 2008, have you thought of a New Years Resolution, yet?

Feel free to share any and all of your resolutions that you wish to share.

I have one major resolution that I need to take care of.  I know it sounds worn down, but I really need to adopt a healthier lifestyle.  When I went to the doctor in late November after Thanksgiving for a sinus infection, she said that I am borderline on high blood pressure.  I just measured my blood pressure today at Wal-Mart per her instructions, and it said I had a BP of 150/95, which according to the chart on that machine is firmly in Stage 1 Hypertension.  So, I'm going to try to lose between 75 and 90 pounds by my 27th birthday on April 29, 2009 and be able to get off any blood pressure medication I may be put on in 2008.

I've been really tempted to go on the Biggest Loser on NBC, but thats probably a last resort.

No.  If there was something I needed to improve, I'd do it now.  No point in waiting for the new year.

as for drinking, how often do you drink and how much do you drink when you do?

I just want to do well in school, stay with my girlfriend happily and maybe join a gym or something to get fit and join the football team, and win the Heisman. [I made up that last part, for those of you who have your sarcasm sensors off]

I want to be a nicer, less sarcastic person.  My classmates always say that I am too sarcastic, and some of them say that I am downright mean, so I want to change that.  I am also going to try and get my weight down to 170.

I don't know if they're resolutions, per se, but there are things I would like to do in 2008.

–Start dressing better, even when I'm "only" going to work.
–Gain another 10 pounds of muscle.
–Finally get that gameshow on Public Access TV I've been talking about with my roommates for the last year-and-a-half.
–Finish paying off my credit card once and for all.
–Run for State Senator just to make sure there's more than one candidate on the ballot (if eligable)
–See "The Price is Right" with Drew Carey and win a catamaran.
–Try to be more outgoing and "people friendly."

True story, every since I was 11, someone I spend New Year's Eve with will be dead by the next New Years.  Everyone that I was with on 12/31/72 was dead by 12/31/73.

If anyone has the address of Osama Bin Laden, PM me.

Give me your whereabouts, so I'll be sure to steer clear of it next Monday night, Tongue

What would happen if you spent New Year's alone?

I might try it, or I might try to be anonymous in a crowd.  Most of the time I run out of the house about thirty seconds before the end of the year and stand outside in a vacant lot our on the street (dodging bullets).  One year the resident of a house I stood in front of died.

It's my one superstition.  It just keeps happening over and over again.

1) Try harder in Maths and Science, I won't need to in International Politics, American History ect Wink.

2) Spend less time on this forum, I hardly used to spend much time on this forum at the start of the year but towards the end I have become addictive. So I'l cut back on my time on the forum.

Other than to make money with my new online project?  Not really.  I'd like to find a great house/lot for a steal though.  Depending on where it is, I might consider retiring and enjoy the "easy life."  However, I typically don't try to make new years resolutions.  Why wait till one day out of the year to begin to change your life, when if you were really serious about it, you would start today?

well, I just sort of thought of one.  give up artificially-sweetened drinks for good.  I sort have already but I'm drinking a decent amount of Coke recently, for whatever reason.
