Meanwhile, we still haven't heard anything on whether the DNC will is going to allow the SC Dems to move their primary up to Jan. 26.  However, my understanding is that Monday (Oct. 28) is the last day they would have to move it to the 26th under SC law.  If the DNC doesn't let them move it up, then they've said they'll stick with Jan. 29th, rather than suffer DNC sanctions.

So by Monday, we'll know when both IA and SC Dems are voting.  After that, the only piece of the calendar puzzle left will be the NH primary, and NH SoS Bill Gardner says he won't announce a date until after the filing deadline closes on Nov. 2 (presumably to avoid any candidates pulling their names off the ballot as happened in MI).

The SC Dems have officially moved their primary up to Jan. 26th:

So officially, the SC Dems are in breach of the DNC rules for scheduling their primary, but they've gotten informal "assurances" from the DNC that they'll look the other way.  That seems to be what's going on with IA too.  The IA Dems will likely move the caucus up to Jan. 3rd, and they claim the DNC will likely let them get away with it, though the DNC hasn't commented publicly yet.

Harry Reid and Jim Clyburn are chastising NH for its indecisiveness in setting a primary date:
