Really much better than that stuck up Chirac. Sarkozy ran around shaking hands and everything. The parade with French troops and the 26 EU countries was amazing.

Another change of style is that Sarkozy won't pardon anyone in the Bastille Day pardon (first time since Mitterand atleast). No presidential message from the Elysee but from a concert (I think) on Champ-de-Mars.

Good job Sarko.

Fun to think of Bayrou or Royal in this situation. Or Le Pen Smiley

I've always liked military parades for some reason, and I've always wanted to attend one. Nothing really to add on the subject except good job Sarko.

It's fun to see big machinery and big explosions. Smiley I lived in a military town and when I was younger it was always fun to go on base and walk on all the US Marines' aircraft when they had Air Shows.

Hooray for Bastille Day!  My birthday is the most important event on this date though.
