Bush is going to get

11% among African Americans
22% among Jews.
35% among Hispanics.
43% among Catholics.
64% among Protestant males.

A real important question should be, for example: “By how much has the Catholic percentage changed from 2000 to 2004” etc.

To be honest, I hope he gets 11% among African Americans, but I doubt it. He will get more than 64% of protestant males.

He will win the Catholic vote and if he doesn't he'll still get more than 43%. I think he received 48% in 2000. I see no reason why he would drop 5% in this election. (John Kerry being a Catholic won't matter to Catholic voters this election.)

2000 Catholic Numbers:

Gore 53%
Bush 46%

Bush will win among practicing, 'serious' catholics, but Kerry wins among Catholcs in general.

I don't remember the exact number, but it can not be 48, since his total percentage was around 48 and among white protestants he made much above this number.

As to Florida

The real important question is:
What was the percentage of Jews/Hispanics/Catholics in 2000 ?
And what is this percentage in 2004?

He will get more than 22% of the Jewish vote.  Remember in 2000, he was campaigning on reducing the US involvement in Isreal.  After 9/11 and his efforts with the "roadmap," in addition to the recovering economy, he will gain more of the Jewish vote.

Bush will gain slightly in the Jewish vote say 22%.  KP, no more than 45% of Catholic vote.

I'm in only 34% of Protestant males? I didn't realize I was THAT in the minority!

Actually in Minnesota Protestants are far more Democratic than Catholics, but that's mainly because we tend to be of Scandinavian heritage, as opposed to the more Catholic Republican-leaning Germans, and us Scandinavians tend to live in more union heavy areas like the northeast.

You're probably right.  BTW, how do they get that info?  Do they have your religion on record?
