But the Al/Earl AW ticket was accepted, the same way as Opebo was. At least be consistent. Huh

Also, when's the by-election for Colin's seat?

Al didn't vote for it.  You'd need both sides of the ticket to vote for it for it to be accepted in the same way as opebo's candidacy was.

Colin will resign his seat to become president the first week of July, so the Friday after he resigns will be the time of the special election.

Except that he did.

Nowhere do Ernest's regulations refer to a first preference:

I suppose you have a point that it technically would have gone to his ticket after his first preference was elected and that that would count as accepting it.

Fiiiiiiiiine, I'll edit it. Tongue

Okay, apparently adding that bit bumps the message above the 10,000 character limit.  So I'm not going to.

Here's a summary, just in case anyone really, really cares:

Round 1.5:

Al/EarlAW gains 1 vote from Al, then gets eliminated and everything carries on from there as seen.

Minor point, Gabu, but since when is RonPaul08 not a registered voter.

Your Registered Voter Roll says such:

https://uselectionatlas.org/AFEWIKI/index.php/Registered_Voter_Roll

Not to mention this post in the Register thread from April 29, 2007:

And he certainly has 15 posts in the last 56 days:

https://uselectionatlas.org/FORUM/index.php?action=profile;u=1291;sa=showPosts

Either change it or I'll sue.  Cheesy

I did a search for both "RonPaul08" and "WiseGuy" on the voter list and absolutely nothing came up, so I assumed he wasn't registered.

It's not my fault that his registration is utterly unlinked to his account on this forum in every way. Tongue

Actually, it is. You maintain the voter roll; it's your fault if you keep his registration under some hard-to-find name. I used the original usernames even when they weren't the name I usually thought of these people by.

I'll stop nitpicking now. Smiley

It's harder to do it that way though - because it's like managing 2 checkbooks - it doesn't makes sense to do it that way.

Why? It's still only one list, and it's the only name that can't be changed.
