After the AG's notification, it seems like the answer will entirely depend on just how much stock Quarishi chooses to put into the county clerks claiming to him that they can't redesign their ballots & reprogram their machines in time for this primary, & even then, maybe he just delays the primary, but that risks a 3rd Circ. overturn, & besides, given that the filing deadline hasn't even happened yet, practically speaking, he's probably got enough time already to order the clerks to comply with Line abolition, notwithstanding their totally-for-sure-above-board opinions to the contrary.

Probably not, but it's actually kind of disgusting how much vitriol Murphy has faced over this. It's almost like there's just been a mind made up to hate her, and even innocuous and wholesome statements by her have been mocked and ridiculed.

The letter comes as sources anticipate Quraishi imminently ruling against the line in Kim et al. v. Hanlon, a lawsuit filed by U.S. Senate candidate Andy Kim, questioning the justice of New Jersey’s county party line ballot system.

She's the Wife of an unpopular Governor, who want's to make her Senator just because she's his Wife.

Of course she's going to face vitriol, from either those who don't like her Husband or think it's improper and insulting.

Governor Murphy isn't unpopular. Though your other points are valid.

He has pretty “meh” popularity in NJ. This whole fiasco on the other hand has the potential to tarnish his legacy like Bridgegate did to Christie.
