It would benefit Dems most if they could somehow get Barbara Cubin appointed to the senate.  She's a horrible candidate who has an ever-worsening reputation.

Classy of you to want what's best for Wyoming, and before the body's even cold.

i think the liberals should go along witht he cheney for senate idea.

it removes him from the vice presidency, obviously.

bush could pick lieberman as his vp.  therefore, the liberals would likely be picking up a senate seat in connecticut.

The liberals wouldn't really pick up a seat, because Jodi Rell would appoint a replacment until the 2008 election.

You can bet she'll be on the state GOP shortlist.

You're way off.  She's probably one of the few prominent Wyoming Republicans not currently under consideration.  You don't endear yourself to the Party by almost losing to a nobody.

That's really sad. It's always a shame when someone serving the country dies.

That's ridiculous.  The only thing that liberal Lieberman has in common with conservative Bush is the war.  Lieberman would never agree to this, and Bush would never ask him.

The state Republican party gives the governor a list of 3 names to choose from.

i hope dick cheney's name is on that list.

You realize that would make Pelosi President if someone shot W then?

Might not be the worst thing... 18 months of disasterous leadership in exchange for an energized Republican base....
