Bit of a sanity check. Haven't seen anyone doing so on this forum, but I've seen a TON of liberals on Twitter saying truly disgusting stuff about her given recent events.

Personally, I believe that calling women whores is bad even when they disagree with you politically. Calling her a hypocrite is one thing, but the amount of sexism I've seen directed at her is gross.

I mean, I don't think it's slut shaming to say you shouldn't engage in sexual foreplay in a public place. Obviously that applies to men and women alike.

Specifically mentioning her outfit though, I’ve seen so many tweets contrasting Fetterman’s attire with Boebert’s and implying that Fetterman has more “self respect.” Again, I realize I’m pulling from Twitter of all places, but it just feels gross to see adults talking like that. I understand shaming the behavior, but some folks seem to take real joy in acting like Trump towards a Trumpist.

To the extent that that's what anybody is doing, no it is not appropriate, but I've seen very little of that and a lot more in the way of reasonable points being made about hypocrisy and about proper behavior in public places. That might just reflect the fact that I keep decent company, though.

It's not appropriate to shame her for being sexually active while unmarried, but it is appropriate to shame her for doing out in public for everyone to see.
