Ya know JFK, I have explained before why I had a "change of heart" about preferential voting. The reason is because I realized how much it matters to have ONE vote cast.

I believe that we should postpone this debate until passions from this election have cooled.  I think that, however subconsciously, many of us (including me) may be basing our opinion on it.

Maybe you just don't get it yet....I guess you're referring to the past special election. Well as the candidate that lost let me make it clear...PASSIONS FROM THIS ELECTION ARE COOLED. That election is over. Everyone has accepted the results. That's in the past. We can't postpone debate because when we postpone, we forget. Action must be taken now.

Action IS being taken, the Senate are currently voting on repealing preferential voting, two Senators have voted for this while four have voted against, it now seems unlikely to pass as President Gustaf did say he would veto it which means it would require a two-thirds majority, something that it cannot get unless one of the four Senators changes their vote.

I know JFK. I was just telling platypeanarchow that it needs to be taken now (maybe I should have said action should continue) and not postpone it to a later date.

Keystone Phil: yes, I recognize that you have accepted the results of the election, and the comment was not directed specifically at you.  I just noticed that most of the people supporting the repeal are Republicans, and most Republicans support the repeal, and came to the logical conclusion.
