There are some live streamers who know how to ask for permission beforehand and do it respectfully, the likes of Kai, Aidan Ross and XQC are not those people and are indeed genuinely cancers on society. Especially in terms of the young audience they attract, and I'm not someone who would say that lightly if the carnage they cause wasn't so in our face.

The hell is going on with these kids? I know not all the youth are this brain-dead, but these live-streamers seem to have truly zapped them of any ambition to use their angst for good.

Eh, like it or not (I very much so do not), that's the correct word for people under 18 or so, at least from my own anecdotal evidence and a few deep-dives into these communities that I've done. These guys don't attract massive crowds of kids and dominate conversations among high schoolers even according to my younger brother and cousins for no reason.

You'd have to be a very unwell person to get any enjoyment out of these live-streamers. As far as I can tell, the whole phenomenon is just mentally ill young people watching another mentally ill young person either play a video game or watch someone else's video. It's transparent that the only fulfillment people get out of this is the false companionship that comes from sitting in a room and watching someone else sit in a room as they watch the same content you're watching. It really is a sign of the times. I can't imagine anything more depressing than sitting in a dark room and pretending that you're friends with a Twitch streamer who doesn't even know who you are. This is a direct result of parents failing to force their kids to learn how to interact with other human beings.

maybe.  Certainly more Biden voters than voters for all other POTUS candidates combined.  The rest are future Kamala voters.
