As we know, the Philippine Senate has introduced legislation that would require us to start paying for hosting Atlasian troops in the Phillippines.

This legislation would require the executive branch to move Atlasian Forces out of the Philippines to another Atlasian military base, such as Okinawa, and hand over all bases in the Philippines within 180 days, thus appeasing the Philippines on this issue and avoiding creating a possible enemy in the Pacific.

While this bill has received little debate, as far as I can tell the administration does not support it, and I oppose the attitude that we should be in the business of trying to appease adversarial powers, so I see little reason to proceed.

motion to table.

Since the Administration does not appear to support the bill, I move to withdraw the legislation from the floor.
