This show became pretty popular with the internet despite airing for one season on MTV. One of the main characters was a clone of Gandhi which people in India really didn't like... which is why he's not coming back, and part of the reason the show ended.

The show soundtrack is very Midwest emo/pop punk so I'd be surprised if BRTD never heard of it. Hopefully the trailer is evidence they're trying to recapture that early aughts feel.

It's airing on HBO Max next month. I was pleasantly surprised to see season one added to the catalogue last night.

These new character designs are some of the worst I've ever seen, JFK's voice sounds like it's missing its manic energy, and everything just feels off. Clone High should have gone longer than a single season but twenty years later I don't think this is necessary.

The theme song is by Abandoned Pools, which is a solo project with a really good emo rock album Humanistic. Highly recommended. It's not what BRTD would call emo rock, but it's what a lot of mainstream people would call emo rock.

However some research says that a song from Cadillac Blindside, a now pretty obscure emoish band from Minneapolis appeared on the soundtrack once so it's worth checking out for that reason alone!

I rewatched all of the first season a few weeks ago to get ready. Did anyone see the first two episodes out now? It seems like fans are mixed but generally approve. People didn't care for the pilot, but I guess everyone's getting used to the new characters, who started blending in well. I'll miss Gandhi, but he was never my favorite character in the first place. It exceeded my expectations overall.

There's a lot of cancel culture jokes, and since Gandhi's character is one of the main reasons it was canceled, I expect the writers will be digging at it often.

Also, Abandoned Pools recorded the theme song again with updated lyrics!
