Yes, white men, who are not the center of the Democratic Party's electoral mind could vote Democratic up to 40%-41% compared to the 30s...

White men are getting vasectomies since Roe was gutted in June 2022. A lot of them don't want kids anymore just like women and they don't want to share an unwanted child...

Dave Portnoy, the Barstool CEO is a Obama-Trump voter who may switch Democrat again because of Roe...

Republicans could see gains with Asian, Arab and Black and Latino men but losses with white men, their core...

Democrats have an opportunity here. They can drop the antiwhite stuff, or they can appeal to young men on this. A lot of young men are having vasectomies.

I hope DeSantis, Haley aren't wasting time and money running for office, because if Roe caused the GOP to be shutout forever, Bush's 1988 election may be the biggest mistake in American history next to his son's 2000 victory.

I don't think this is specific to just white men but I broadly agree that Roe will see a lot of people vote Democratic in 2024.

If more white men vote Democratic despite the SJW stuff, Matt Walsh will lose it.

But what will the Dems' message be in order to cultivate that vote? Will they ever say, "We intend to reinstate Roe! If Trump can promise to appoint pro-life people to the Court in order to overturn Roe, then we can do the opposite -- promise to appoint pro-choice people in order to reinstate the original precedent."

It doesn't matter. They already got the pro-abortion vote in 2022. Just continue the status quo. Point out that Republicans are doing insane stuff like 6 week bans.

something something broken clock

but yeah, going full anti-abortion is a huge losing proposition. most people do not want to live in a world and deal with the consequences of abortion being outlawed, men included.

That message is more for the long run - the short run message should be something along the lines of, "As soon as we take back full control of Congress and hold the White House, we'll codify Roe."

I guess something can be a bronz threaf and be truly interesting, whether or not it actually appears right.

If Republicans suffer these loses and make them up with black and brown guys, it would somehow spread this notion of "people voting against their interests" to different dimensions.

It used to be that..
"OK. This guy is voting for tax cuts for the guy who owns the factory he works at because the factory in question can't make any money if it has to pollute less and made more likely to have to collective bargain and that owner will have to let him go" to "Ok. this guy is voting for more rights for women because it will make finding intimate partners and potentially becoming a husband and a father more difficult in the future. "

The problem with saying they'd codify Roe is that would likely mean getting rid of the fillibuster. Once that happens, we'll see abortion bans come and go each time the GOP takes over the government.

Voters are going to have to reject Republicans at the ballot box, but the problem is they've gerrymandered the hell out of state legislatures. Look at North Carolina. This is basically a 52-48 GOP state at a neutral level and yet the GOP has a supermajority in the state legislature.
