Even if DeSantis somehow came back and made it competitive, he still wouldn't win here.

Does OSR still believe DeSantis is a better fit for the South or his best region?

I think the conventional wisdom is that because RDS is actually from the South, that he would do best there. Trump being more centrist on abortion should also be hurting him there on paper, but the base doesn't care whatever their leader says or does. And that base is the whole GOP.

It's a mix..

Sure he's a better fit for states like Georgia, Florida and Virginia.. but not West Virgina, Kentucky, Tennessee or Mississippi etc.

He actually barely won Kentucky in the 2016 primaries. He won Florida much more convincingly then. I don't buy this attempt at drawing distinctions between the Southern states as an explanation for why DeSantis is getting BTFO in all of them (including Florida). The real reason is the GOP is now the Trump Party, period. It is just that simple. Many of the voters who went with Cruz or miscellaneous in 2016 have long since been assimilated. And Trump is worshipped as a religious figure in the South more than Christ is now, as I told OSR. Guess he couldn't know that all the way from Oregon, but it should be obvious to you and me.

Also why would one even be a "better fit" than the other in Georgia vs. Mississippi? They have almost identical Republican primary demographics.

Well when I was talking south I did not mean Kentucky(Which is a very Appalachian state too and has lots of midwest influence, I meant):

FL SC AL GA NC etc

GA is far more richer than MS

The DS is changing toote like the 1976 Carter S that's why Ds are putting up Rod JOSEPH, Colin ALLRED, Barbara Lee and Alsobrooks Val Demings Candidates IAN was the Oct Surprise in 22 that's why DeSantis and Trump are both Losing in PA by 9.1 margins that's a Landslide according to 2012 not /20 standard, Obama and Biden and Casey won PA by 9.1 and Beshesr and Presley are competetive are Mary Landeieu Ds

Dixiecrats were Ds buty were Apartheid Ds, but liberal on Tax policy, Fritz Hollings was against Reagan tax cuts but voted for Clarence Thomas the last of the Dixiecrats were Zell Miller, Byrd and Justice but Rs forgotten Landeieu and John Breaux were blue dogs too they just didn't break with Ds like other Dixiecrats did that's why Presley, will be elected Gov

The Rs are gonna have to spend money in FL, TX and MO and OH and NC, This is a Prez contest we outnumbered Rs 52/47 in 20 5 M not a Midterm where we outnumbered Rs 48/47

80)75 M in 20 this is the same Biden that beat Romney in 2012 65)60 M too

Yahoo news just said Rod JOSEPH whom haven't got much press can in fact beat Scott, they said ALLRED, Brown and Presley and Beshesr win, that's why I changed FL back D it's not Safe R that was all IAN
