Yes but I haven't used it since 2018 or so and don't plan on returning. Last I saw, most of the people on that site are open incels and/or deplorable in some general sense. Something like 70-80% of their UN council thing voted to repeal a sex offender registry thing. Whew...
I don't pay any attention to the World Assembly (it is no longer called the UN due to copyright infringement).
Membership is optional anyway, so there are many nations who haven't joined.
I don't get into roleplay at all.
The cool thing about nationstates is that you can create your own autonomous regions and you don't have to get into WA politics at all.The resolutions of the WA are called Security Council resolutions or General Assembly (aka GA) resolutions.
"The world contains 315,491 nations in 28,154 regions."
257 regions tagged GA
198 regions tagged anti-GA
Delegates to the WA are chosen by WA members within a region.
Delegates have control over the region, depending on how much power the Governor wants them to have.
Therefore joining the WA isn't just about participating in what goes on with resolutions. It has just as much to do with gaining power within a region as it has to do with the operations of the GA itself.
The delegate has as many votes as he/she has endorsements.
So a delegate with 1000 endorsements, will have 1000 votes on a resolution.
in summary there are many nations that don't get involved with the WA and many that do.
Nationstates is about a lot more the the WA.
