To varying degrees, I take issue with all 6 of those statements.

1, 2, 5 and 6 are bad.

Nobody really claims #1 though, aside from a few Twitter. crazies.

#2 is obviously bad, that's like the textbook definition of racism.

#3 is good and correct.

#4 isn't necessarily problematic, it's just the wrong way of looking at the situation - it presents the increased competition as a zero sum game, which is a faulty premise.

You shouldn't be crafting your immigration policy around whether or not you thinking the immigrants will vote for your political party, so obviously $5 and #6 are problematic.

Labor scarcity and subsequent wage growth don’t exist?

Labor scarcity is primarily due to automation, not because immigrants are taking the jobs that "belong" to native-born Americans, and immigration does not slow the wage growth of native-born Americans.

Labor scarcity meaning limited labor supply. Not job scarcity.

It’s basic economics that if there are fewer candidates for a job, then firms will need to bid more to attract more candidates.

Fat cats like Koch want more serfs available to work, so they can pay less.

By the way, the ratios of 1:2, 3:4, 5:6 are fascinating.

#6 is Fuzzy Bear's argument on why all immigration should be stopped.  If they voted a different way, I am sure he would feel differently...
