There hasn't been any change since the last announcement. The ball is with SCOTUS right now. We're all waiting on oral arguments and the eventual decision.

My guess is that if the forgiveness gets struck down by the Supreme Court, Biden will keep extending the pause as long as he is president unless Congress can strike a deal to pass forgiveness legislation.

No it won't because most people owe more than 10/20 K dollars Biden already said it's August

I just want to say that all the student loan stuff is a brilliant political move.

It can be used as an attack in 2024 (a vote for Republicans is a vote for your student loans coming back), and as soon as the next Republican president takes office (whenever that happens), if it's still an issue then they will no doubt quickly reverse it, giving them an instant unpopular action for Dems to attack.
