I just to ask some people on here who act like a certain timeline is destine, imagine if you went back 10 years and had to predict the Senate composition today? Stuff like Ds holding both AZ and GA Senate seats while Rs hold both of IA, FL, and NCs was not on anyone's bingo card.

2024 is bad but 2026 and 2028 are better, especially if a Republican is in the White House:

2024: Texas
2026: Alaska, Maine, North Carolina, and Texas
2028: Alaska, North Carolina, and Wisconsin

I think Democrats will hold a seat in Alaska, North Carolina, and Texas before the end of the decade if Biden loses in 2024.
Do you think there will be fair elections in 2026 and 2028 if Trump wins? Of course, I don't want to derail the thread

It's not good, but it took Republicans just 5 years to go from having 40 seats in 2009 to 54 in 2014. So the dooming about Dems being locked out for decades seems out of place.
