I think its common enough, if only because of a lot of non rap fans tend to be hipster types often with high levels of education who have idiosyncratic tastes in music. Honestly I don't see a huge partisan gap among rap music fans for voters under 40 especially if you adjust for race.

I wouldn't think so to be honest, but I'd guess they'd probably be a smaller contingent then say Gen X Democrats who listen to rap, but a larger contingent than Gen Z Democrats who don't listen to rap.

This is probably true especially considering how Republican Kanye West fans must be now.

Not a millennial or a liberal, but some people like me just don’t listen to music. Yeah we enjoy it when it’s playing but we wouldn’t ever spend time just listening to it or getting worked up over it.
This is a big sort of thing with dichotomies. A lot of people imagine x or y, but not neither, or both, or z. I find this with most issues it’s not orthodox, people don’t think through or interact with things in the same assembly line format, but how we think of how people think can’t represent this.

Like think for instance of this cinnamon swirls at Taco Bell, there are many opinions about them and many who are like heathens to them, unenlightened savages.
