Today, President Biden did an interview with CNN's Jake Tapper. At the very end of the interview, the president was asked about his opinion on Former Gov. Andrew Cuomo (D-NY)'s new book. Biden officially said,"The governor is entitled to his own opinion, but he is simply lying to public about what happened,". However, President Biden left the interview after that, but he thought his microphone was muted and his camera was off, and told one of his aides,"I wish I could tell Cuomo to kiss my a** on national television, because that's how I feel,".

SWAMPSCOTT, Mass. -- Former Massachusetts Governor Charlie Baker (R) announced he would be running for the US Senate in 2024. The seat is currently occupied by Elizabeth Warren (D) who has filed paperwork to run for reelection. Baker is a moderate Republican who was a two term governor before deciding against running for reelection in 2022. Baker endorsed former Maryland governor Larry Hogan (R) for president shortly after the latter announced his campaign. Pundits say Baker's entry into the race, makes the race more intriguing.

House narrowly passes background check bill

WASHINGTON -- Today, the Universal Background Check Bill of 2023, narrowly passed the House 219-216. Along with every voting Democratic member of the House who was present for the voting, some 27 Republicans voted in favor of the bill. The bill enjoys a high amount of support among the general public.

BREAKING: Mitch McConnell to filibuster background check bill

WASHINGTON -- Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-KY) has decided to filibuster the Universal Background Check Bill of 2023, claiming it is a violation of the right to bear arms. The bill is popular nationwide, with 64% of respondents saying they supported the bill. Joe Biden has called McConnell an "obstructionist" after he first learned of this.
