This seat was never going to flip with Mandela Barnes as the challenger.

Should’ve gotten Ron Kind to run.

I agree. I was skeptical of Barnes as a candidate all along until we got several polls in a row with him leading, but those were quickly made irrelevant, so my hunch was probably right in the beginning.

As for Kind, I wonder if he regrets not jumping in here. Obviously he anticipated a Republican wave, but considering how things have turned out he really could have probably kept this race more competitive, possibly even leading how Barnes looked like he was going to. I don't know if it's Kind himself or the Wisconsin Democratic Party to blame, but nominating him really wouldn't have hurt at the very least.

Yeah, this is probably not happening. The favorables are questionable, though, Johnson is underwater in pretty much every other poll.

Somehow 2022 may continue with the pattern that polling over the summer looks promising for the Democrats and then things chance over the fall. This really sucks, especially because the Republican Party today is so nuts, they deserve to lose big time.

Some of you are so dramatic and unrealistic. If you actually take a second to look at this poll, it is nowhere near the doom and gloom that some of you are making it out to be.

The race is literally tied now in the 538 average and yet we're talking about just giving up.

I hope Barnes wins this one honestly the most now so that people will honestly just look like fools.
