I agree that pop music especially Britney, Xtina, Madonna is popular among both parties, while Gangster rap is somewhat popular among both parties as well

Instead of ranking them, perhaps just do an attempt on whether it is centrist, more left leaning or more right leaning if it is too complex. I mean i get it can be hard to fully rank them and that it won't be accurate likely.

Maybe political quadrant. (left-lib, right-lib, left-auth and right-auth).

We still rank users in forum community threads based on left to right, and that is often hard to do, since i don't read every post from every user, forget who is who and might've not heard of some.
