Landslide. Over 86%.

Now granted the recall was over A LOT more things than endorsing Trump but people here do seem to enjoy overanalyzing national trends from nonpartisan mayoral elections so throw it on the pile.

There def has been a theme lately of crazy local politicians on both sides being able to be recalled or face consequences in places that may traditionally be more favourable to their party. This gives me some degree of hope when it comes to polarization.

Funnily enough the article doesn't even mention the real reason this was a landslide: It was revealed that he had been convicted in the past for sexually abusing a 5-year old. If you're wondering how the hell he managed to conceal that and get a political career: it happened when he was a teenager and the juvenile court records are sealed. He simply stated that he complied with the terms of his sentence and probation so we don't really know what he was sentenced to....but even as a teenager that is not something that he'll be forgiven for.
