Why would The Ghost Inside be so Republican? And Bruce Springsteen's fans are a bunch of old white guys.

Very sophisticated font color editing! Surprised Paramore is more D than Billie Eilish. The relative positions of Johnny Cash, Metallica, and Kanye make sense to me.

And Bruce himself has long cultivated an earnest blue-collar Northeastern image and is Obama's best buddy. Funny how that works, innit?

I view metal as a more 'conservative' genre than emo, pop punk, pop, etc. And a lot of Springsteen's conservative fans now dislike him due to his outspoken liberal views in recent years. He would've easily been in the more Republican half five years ago.

The Ghost Inside aren't metal though they're metalcore which I explained in an argument with Klobumentum is a completely different thing and completely separate scene. They're way more likely to play with an emo band than a death metal one.

The funny thing about The Ghost Inside is that some of their songs are actually sort of woke but in a way that wouldn't be seen as necessarily left-wing today. For example "Out of Control" was considered kind of wokeish at the time it came out because of its anti-bullying message but the sort of people it's referring to ("We tear each other down to build ourselves up") today would be largely supposedly left-wing and today the song would be seen as anti-"cancel culture" and probably not popular on a certain corner of Twitter if they were aware of it.

However they're obviously not conservatives and the message of that song is obviously totally not compatible with Trump or his supporters either.

Did you listen to the song?

I was mostly thinking about Lindsay Ellis when I wrote that btw (or rather her bullies), who is obviously not conservative.
