Window

Aisle. I HATE the window, I actually have a weird fear of sitting by it, it just feels “unclean” (makes zero sense but I am not stable in the head)

Claustrophobia and less breathing room contributing to that "unclean" feeling? Makes sense, you're next to a sweat factory to your left, and yet there's no escape to your right.

Thing is I don’t have claustrophobia. I am more than happy with small rooms and used to literally spend hours in the closet in the summer playing on my iPad because it was like a cool little secret room (yes I know what jokes y’all are gonna make no they aren’t original) It’s honestly just the window seat of busses and planes. ESPECIALLY that small gap between the seat and the window, horrifying.

Aisle. I've never seen the appeal of the window. It feels too cramped. But yeah, I'm quite happy to have the minority view on this. It always seems like 80% of people prefer the window and that's just fine with me. Smiley

The view, and extra headroom.

Not sure what you mean by headroom, but I like the leg room of the aisle. I've flown so many times the view doesn't really impress me. There's rarely anything worth seeing.

I hate the middle and that would be the same on an airplane. Window if not crowded, aisle perhaps if crowded.

Middle sucks because it has the disadvantages of both the window and the aisle and you have two people on both sides of you.

It's the same with public toilets, you simply don't go the middle toilet, and wait until someone on the side is done.

You can lean your head on the side of the wall. There is  also a bit of space for legroom between the front passengers seat and the wall.

Usually window, but really depends on the flight. Just being over Atlantic or Pacific at night makes me indifferent on the question.

I'm fortunate enough my wife doesn't bother about it, so I can pretty much always get the window seat when we travel. For sure I like guessing what city, river, lake or sea we've just crossed and sometimes I even ask the cabin crew and enjoy being correct.
