There are much cheaper electric cars out there. I have one, though admittedly I don't know or care the political views of Chevy's executives.
GM executives are, lets be real, probably all (or almost all) Republicans, but all of GM's US-based factory workers are unionized, and none of them are on Twitter all the time pumping crypto or sharing their shower thoughts about politics and society. A new Chevy Volt's starting MSRP is around 35K, compared to the most basic Tesla Model 3, which starts at 49K.

Was she not aware that the company mistreated workers and opposed unions when she purchased the car?? She really just gets more and more embarrassing by the day.

Ahh yes, the liberal principle of tolerance and acceptance demonstrated by not driving cars made by people you don't like in places where people think differently than you.

She lives in NYC, why would you need a car?
She drives between NY and DC, but she clearly lives the life she's always wanted but was too lazy to work for before getting into politics.

Her background demonstrate she has more of a background doing hard work in the real world than most serving in Congress today.

For some it might be a tad too small, but the Peugeot e-208 is the coolest electric car I've driven so far.

Teslas are a bit overrated IMO... it's a case of "the first, but not the best".

Disappointed that she had one to begin with.

Someone who wants to position themselves as an authority on climate and environmental reform shouldn't own a Tesla in the first place. It's one thing for your average person to fall for the myth that electric vehicles have any benefits, but if you're for all intents and purposes the face of the Green New Deal, you kind of have a responsibility to know what you're talking about.

If you can't go without a car (which is perfectly understandable) and you actually care about the environment, buy used.
