I was told during my citizenship interview that I would be taking the oath in November.  I believed this and bought plane tickets to go abroad during winter break.  My mom just received her letter on Thursday, and her oath ceremony is Dec. 6 (although she was told it was going to be Nov. 15.)  I still haven't gotten a notification.  If my oath is any later than the 6th, then I've wasted $700.

I hate bureaucracy.
