Democrats lead in all statewide races, except AG where the race is tied:

http://ohio2006elections.blogspot.com/2006/11/poll-indicates-dems-will-sweep.html#links

Governor:
56% Strickland (D)
37% Blackwell (R)

Attorney General:
44% Dann (D)
44% Montgomery (R)

Auditor:
40% Sykes (D)
37% Taylor (R)

Secretary of State:
41% Brunner (D)
32% Hartmann (R)

Treasurer:
47% Cordray (D)
35% O'Brien (R)

"All of the Democrats lead among independents. Strickland has by far the largest such lead at 31 points (58%-27%), followed by Cordray at 20 points (49%-29%), Brunner at 19 points (43%-24%), Dann at 17 points (48%-31%), and Sykes at 11 points (41%-30%). This presumably means that a big turnout favors Democrats, while a small turnout will make the results closer. (Reports have been coming out that a record turnout of around 55% is expected.)"

I love Ken Blackwell. He's taking the rest of his party down with him. HARD.

However, I would be tempted to vote for Montgomery.

No way, Marc Dann is an outstanding Democrat and has a great future ahead of him.

Wow, even Montgomery is having trouble?

I never knew the Ohio GOP was in that bad a shape.

Good thing we have such a lead in the Sec of State race. Keep that out of the hands of scum like Blackwell.

Sykes would be a great auditor! SHe is the Best Candidate I have seen, especially for just a state representative!

However, I would be tempted to vote for Montgomery.

Haha!!!

If you had seen any of the despicable and blatantly false smear ads she has run against Dann you wouldn't be saying that, trust me. Her ads are rivaling Blackwell's in the lack of class and truth categories.  I used to like her too, but now she's just another scumbag Ohio repug to me.

Yeah Montgomery definitely doesn't get my vote.  I have decided after much though i'm voting democrat on everything but governor.  For that office i'm voting for the libertarian candidate Bill Peirce.  He is very intelligent and is not running a smear campaign and i think the state would benefit from his leadership.  I can't vote for Blackwell because he is insane, and Strickland has no plans, no brains, and just a bunch of anti GOP rhetoric.  He is a Dem version of Taft, and I would rather not put my state through four more years of zero leadership.

Hmmm... Ohio swaps one party dominance by the GOP for one party dominance by the Dems, the credit for such a sweeping win should probably go to Strickland and what must be a very well organised Ohio Dem party.

Democrats will not have party dominance as they will not control either chamber of the legislature. Not enough of the seats are up for reelection this year for the Dems to be able to flip them.

There's always 2008, it will depend on if the Dems build on their progress this year.
