Voted for ICE & the Department of Labor, even though there's several I didn't vote for but wouldn't abolish either.

The military (the troops, I have a very low opinion of current military leadership, voted yes anyway), FBI, DEA, ICE, local police, Department of Labor

You kinda struck me as someone on the right who's a lot more skeptical of the "deep state" so I'm surprised there.

ICE and DEA carry out functions that really have no connection with the deep state per se. To me the "deep state" is made up of the sort of career spooks and natsec bureaucrats who are constantly pushing for war, war, war and trying to demonize their domestic political opponents as terrorists and acting to curtail their rights as such. Drug enforcement and immigration enforcement really doesn't have anything to do with that.

As for the FBI, for every ghoul trying to use the power of the federal government as a cudgel against their political opponents there's ten people working on cracking cold cases, dealing with interstate criminal enterprises, and keeping tabs on the nutjobs who've been running their mouths about blowing up the local church or mall.

My approval of the FBI is a qualified approval much like that of the military. Note that I didn't approve of the CIA or DHS.

Negative. But just because I have a negative view doesn't mean I think it should be abolished. In the past few years, it seems the left wants to abolish the few agencies I think we need (border enforcement, police) instead of things like the ATF.

Local police is about it. I like what some of them stand for but not how they operate. Most of the organizations should be local. EPA, military and intelligence agencies being federal is fine but I dont care for how they operate.

I have a largely neutral-to-positive opinion on all of them except the DEA (I actually live across the street from their HQ), which should be abolished.

Imagine being an old-ass boomer in 2022, and still clutching-your-pearls over victimless crimes, like drugs.  lol.  *SMH*

I wish I still had the privilege of thinking hard drug use is victimless as I did a few years ago. What an innocent time.
