Does Gwen Graham have a political future?

She is currently serving in the Biden administration as the Assistant Secretary of Education for Legislation and Congressional Affairs under Miguel Cardona.

It looks like she isn't running for anything this cycle.

Does she run for senate or governor in the next republican midterm? Would she be able to win statewide in Florida in a favorable environment for democrats?

It depends on what happens in 22 with Demings and Crist, she can challenge if they win Rick Scott, of they lose its a different matter

She could run for FL-05 when Lawson retires. But it’s hard to see a white person win that seat.

If she wants to carpetbag somewhere else in Florida, FL-13 (or whatever it will be called after redistricting) is probably going to be winnable in 2024 or 2026.

She also could try and run against Rick Scott in 2024 (and there's at least a slim possibility that race will be an open seat).

Anything's possible, but if I had to shake the Magic 8-ball right now, it'd say "Don't count on it".

I don't think she'll run for office again. Perhaps she could join the cabinet by becoming Secretary of Education if Miguel Cardona steps down at any point (or in a future Democratic administration), but otherwise I think she'll be done with politics.

If DEMINGS or CRIST win and they're six back and Gullium was six pts ahead with a month left it's not over with folks, FL Gov or Sen or TX Gov, six pts down isn't a landslide, Gwen Graham will take on Rick Scott in 24

I don't think Graham would resign her position in the Biden cabinet to launch an uphill long-shot senate battle against Rick Scott.

I think Stephanie Murphy will run against Rick Scott, with Anna Eskamani succeeding her in the house if her seat is still winnable for a democrat.

I could see Graham running for a statewide office in 2026 if the GOP takes back the Whitehouse in 2024.
