She's in the top five, but Harris and Buttigieg certainly rate higher.

If Biden runs in 2024 and wins, Harris would be the overwhelming favorite.

If Biden runs in 2024 and loses, Harris still has a chance as a high profile figure with a media following and appeal to African American voters, who are not likely to go for AOC.

If Biden opts not to run in 2024, Harris is the obvious favorite. So she may also enter 2028 as an incumbent President.

I think AOC has a bright political future ahead of her. I don't know if it will involve the presidency....who can predict? But she is very articulate and smart. And it's my opinion that she cares about people. I don't think we have enough politicians who do. To them, it's all about "me", it seems. I don't think AOC is all about "me."

She might be considered too moderate, or old news, by then.

Remember, in the early 2000s, Nancy Pelosi was treated by the media how they treat AOC now.

They may have treated Pelosi as a liberal upstart, but Pelosi rose through the ranks of the San Francisco Dems and the House leadership in a methodical way. AOC beat an incumbent with a grassroots campaign and used social media to become influential---that's two very different ways to secure power.

I think Abrams-AOC will be the 2028 ticket after Harris-Buttigieg loses.

That would be horrific.

Honestly would put Connecticut, Maine, Rhode Island, Oregon all in play

She isn’t winning a primary. Democrats need a progressive who is at least respected by the moderate wing of the party, otherwise what happened in 2020 is the inevitable conclusion.
