Linux.

Ubuntu, more specifically.

Windows. I assume Macos is the Apple one, and I've not heard of Linux.

I prefer Linux, but it's incredibly impractical to use under most circumstances; so I just use Windows instead. I do have a soft spot for Linux as well since it allowed me to use my old 2009 netbook for way longer than I ever should have; it lasted with very regular use all the way until like 2017, and I think it even saw some further use beyond that for like a year or so!

Linux is truly amazing at resurrecting old computers and giving them a useful purpose

Linux (preferably SuSE or Red Hat) for enterprise systems. Windows for office stuff, because let's face it, the most common office productivity tools are designed to run on Windows.  You can run them on Linux if you're dedicated, but it's usually a pain to get them working.

For Linux fans forced to use Windows, are you aware of WSL (Windows Subsystem for Linux)?  I've got this on my work laptop and it's pretty cool.

OpenOffice isn't that hard to use.

Typewriter or Fountain Pen?

I’d go with typewriter because I think it would be fun. If I had room and money I was willing to essentially waste, I’d buy one for lulz.

This but opposite (well, school rather than work).

Trying to get a laptop with preinstalled Windows to dual boot to Linux is a very good way to tear your hair out in frustration btw. Especially when you have no idea what you're doing and have to start all over again... thrice.

I used to be a bit of an anti-Windowsist, but these days I'm just so tired and convenience-focused that I don't bother.

I prefer Windows for daily use because its more convenient in most cases. Most software is designed to run on Windows whereas with Linux I'd have to jump through hoops to get some stuff to work. I have a Linux VM (Ubuntu) set up which I use for assignments and trying things out. I enjoy using Linux and perhaps once I feel confident enough with it, I'll switch. Tack's comment is interesting, perhaps its worth installing Linux on my old computer and giving it a try.

As for Mac, never tried it but I don't like the look of it and am not a fan of Apple products in general.
