Fox News host Chris Wallace, a former White House correspondent, praised White House press secretary Jen Psaki, calling her "one of the best press secretaries ever."

Wallace gave the compliment on Friday following an intense back-and-forth between his colleague, Peter Doocy, and Psaki regarding President Biden visiting the U.S.-Mexico border.

“Honestly, as somebody who’s spent six years in the White House, my immediate reaction was, 'Those are two people at the top of their game,'" Wallace said in a clip highlighted by Mediaite.

"I think that [Doocy] has become the Sam Donaldson of this White House press corps ... and Jen Psaki, I think, is one of the best press secretaries ever," he added, referencing former ABC News Chief White House correspondent Sam Donaldson, who was known for his aggressive question of former President Reagan.

“I don’t know that anything was particularly accomplished, but they both gave and got pretty good,” Wallace added.

So, anyone want to take bets on Fox News firing Wallace within the next three or so months?

Him being conservative doesn't mean he can't give someone recognition for their skills. Just because you don't share someone's ideology doesn't mean you cannot give their credit for knowing how to do their job.

He's not a "hardcore liberal" at all lol. He's just an actual professional reporter who does his job and reports straight facts regardless of his own biases and opinions, and aggressively interviews people regardless of their party. It's such a rarity nowadays that I can see why people poisoned by the rest of the Kool-Aid being pouring out by Fox News might think his simply reflecting reality in his reporting makes him a "hardcore liberal."

That was largely because of Trump. Wallace moderated one of the 2016 debates between Clinton and Trump, and he probably did the best out of any of the moderators that year.
