I used to worry about Nikki Haley, but now I realize how wrong I was.  What a joke.

At this point, it's almost sad. She's been completely exposed as a blatant opportunist with no original ideas and who will change her positions at the drop of a hat, and yet somehow still thinks she has a shot in 2024. What kind of a headspace is she in?

Nikki Haley will never be president, along with Chris Christie.

They are has beens who were dwarfed by Trump.

I wouldn't call that "hard anti-vaxxer." Ron Johsnon is a hard anti vaxxer.

I actually think its a smart position she took.

But no, she will not be president.

Being anti mandate doesn't make you anti-vax

Ah yes, the human weather vane 2.0 (Lindsey Graham being 1.0) showing the direction of the GOP. Filing that away. I'll give it to Ron, at least he's been the most consistent, however wrong.

She literally endorsed vaccination in the message. What planet do you live on where that is hard anti-vax? That said, Nikki Haley is an unprincipled loser who would say or do anything (cough cough fake religious conversion cough) to get elected.

The GOP establishment (from Trump to Haley to Abbott) is pretty much pro-vaccine, but anti-mandate.

They say things like, "I am vaccinated, and I recommend it. It's safe. But it's not right to mandate vaccines. That violates personal freedoms."

Fringier candidates seem to be courting the anti-vaxxers.

DeSantis seems to be the anti-vax frontrunner, despite being vaccinated himself. The GOP establishment wants to have their cake and eat it too by being pro-mask and anti-mandate.

I mean this is the difference in philosophical beliefs between conservatives and liberals. Conservatives generally oppose mandates for businesses and individuals while liberals are more open to them and this issue doesn't change that fact.

Its not just the Culturally Conservative position for Haley and Crenshaw to come out against this sort of mandate, but the Economically Conservative position as well.

This is wrong on so many levels.  Conservatives are the staunchest defenders of restrictive zoning ordinances, building height limitations, parking minimums, occupational licensing, etc.  Conservatives are the ones fanatically committed to limiting free speech in our schools and public places.  Conservatives are the ones looking to expand oppressive policing practices like qualified immunity and civil forfeiture.

The only mandates that Conservatives actually seem to opose are the ones that might limit environmental damage or encourage fair business practices.

Opposing vaccine mandates is a defensible position, even if it is wrong, and is different from being anti-vax which is just nuts. Of course it depends on what kind of mandates are being opposed, which Haley doesn't make clear. It's hard to reasonably justify letting the unvaccinated work in nursing homes.

It was literally liberals who put into place Oregon Land Use laws so that is false and on occupational licenses is strict in Oregon too .

Also what do you mean by free speech in school cause banning the 1619 project from being taught in schools isn’t opposing free speech in school lmao . There have always been rules on what can and cannot be taught in public schools and it is very different from 2/3 of democrats supporting the government censoring posts on social media .

Although I thought I would never agree with Mr. Xing I do now.

blatant opportunist , yes

no original ideas , yes

will change her positions at the drop of a hat, yes

As far as I'm concerned Nicki Haley would run as Biden's VP in 2024 if she thought it would help her chance to be President.

Like I've said before, I'm a proud anti-vaxxer with the way the authoritarian left has redefined this term. It now means you're reasonable and not neurotic and irrational about other people's health (which you are minimally impacted by if you're vaccinated). The most "pro-vaccine" people behave as if vaccines don't work.

Opposing mandates and outright not getting vaccinated when you could have are two very different things. The latter supports freedom of choice, while the latter is just moronic
