I'm going to narrowly vote Freedom Movie...even though it's quite frankly pretty overrated. I think its contemporary status as a "Halloween classic" is mostly due to nostalgia (worth pointing out it only has a Rotten Tomatoes score of 39%) and not because it was that good, although it does have a sort of quirky early to mid 90s appeal that can't probably wouldn't be replicated in a nominally kids' movie today, not only is it actually pretty dark when you think about it there's also the fact that a plot point revolves around virginity, etc. But I can't help but wonder if modern day kids who hear it hyped up end up very disappointed after seeing it. I'd include a "mixed" option for that but that's kind of cheating.

I'll go with lean freedom movie too. The main male character is boring as f***, and the whole virginity shaming aspect of it is very astonishing in hindsight, but the three witches make this movie. It never fails to make me laugh when Kathy Najimy flies around on a vacuum cleaner. Whenever the three of them are on screen I'm entertained. So between them and pure nostalgia, I can't hate the movie in spite of some things about it aging very poorly.

Definite FM. It is indeed a Halloween classic. You can say it's popular just due to nostalgia and that may be true, but that's part of what defines a classic. The movie was part of my childhood growing up in the 90s. I think the fact that the movie really feels like the 90s is part of its appeal. It's almost not October unless I watch it at least once.

It's worth noting that filming for the sequel just started a couple days ago (set to be released next year). And yes, it will have Bette Midler, Kathy Najimy, and Sarah Jessica Parker. Otherwise, it almost certainly wouldn't even be worth considering watching.

I loved it.  And I loved him.

Good Lord, I was only 8.  And my hormones were kicking into high gear.  Yikes.
