They are reliable Republican voters. Russian Americans are very socially conservative. And factor that Trump has very pro-Putin views only simplifies and allows them to support Republicans

The fact that almost all such people either fled from a communist/socialist regime or were descended from those emigres should provide a very clear indication of their political preferences.

If they came from the USSR, these people are reliable Republican voters. If they came from Putin’s Russia, it could be more of a toss-up.

Overwhelmingly Republican for much the same reason as Cubans. Not actually particularly socially conservative, though, although the 2020 campaign which focused more on urban issues (like police funding) than recent Republican campaigns definitely saw strong gains with them, since they're a quite urban demographic.

Here in Washington, most Russians and Ukrainians are hardcore evangelicals who vote strongly R.

I think they're about as Republican as most other white groups. The difference is that they're less assimilated so they vote Republican even in places like Brooklyn, whereas, say, Italian Americans vote differently depending on where they live.

It's rather natural. Majority of Russians are NOT big fans of, say, LGBT or BLM (even those, who live in US. I can judge by my US relatives, for example). So, when Democratic party liberalism became determined mostly by such social issues (instead of economical, as was, say, in FDR time) - choice for them became rather obvious. The same as with many US "ethnics", especially of European origin, The closest in their approach to social problems to Russians are, probably, Louisiana Cajuns, and everyone knows about their profound shift to the right in last 1-2 decades (though in the past they voted for LBJ, when almost all other whites in Louisiana voted for Goldwater: pragmatic economic populist was acceptable to them, social liberal - absolutely no. Most Russians are similar).
