And the drying up of water means that farmers who are actually engaging in productive agriculture are consistently getting the short end of the stick because ScoMo's coalition partners, the Nationals, are paid for by the Irrigators' Council, which makes their name by stomping all over anyone who dares to criticise cotton farming.
