Has your opinion of the media become negative since the Covid-19 lab conspiracy became plausible??

For all of 2020, the media dismissed the idea that the theory that covid-19 coming from a lab was a conspiracy theory but now they are now saying it is valid. How has this changed your view of the media?

My opinion is for the worse and I lost any benefit of the doubt that I had for them

I already had a largely negative view of the media. And this just makes it worse.

Considering China was specifically targeted--long after Italy had become the hot spot and the likely location from which the virus first entered the US--they were in fact xenophobic and ineffective.

It depends on what you look for in your media and for what purposes. CNN though shouldn't don that sort of hat and try to claim like it's a broadcast TV equivalent of a newspaper of record.

It was negative long before that. They don’t care about reporting facts. They care about how to make the most money, or in PBS’ case, the most donations.

The lab leak "Conspiracy" (lol) was naturally dismissed if not outright suppressed because it was feared that even entertaining the possibility of it would benefit Trump politically.  Despite the fact that it's more likely than not what happened.

It's become more negative.  The implication at the beginning of the pandemic that even hypothesizing that the virus came from a lab was racism was absolutely ridiculous. The fact they subsequently did an a about face on it is discrediting, but it hardly mattered at that point.  It just goes to show everyone has an agenda.

Just for comparison - and not to excuse CNN in any way - Fox News runs "space alien" stories on a regular basis.  They (unsurprisingly), specialize in taking quotes out of context and spinning them up so they look like something they're not to casual readers.
