Is it me or is it looking like Allen is trying to give Burns a run for his $$ in running the worst campaign??

Burns will still edge out Allen in the 2006 Jim Bunning Award.

True, but Allen has turned a landslide for Burns into a tight race in that regard

Is there a reason why the ad isn't there for me?

Great ad.  Not that I needed any encouragement to support Jim Webb, but I'm going to be extremely disappointed if he loses.

I didn't think it was all that good. Webb looks hideous and to me the message sounded tired and populist. But I guess I'm biased when it comes to Iraq.

New survey poll has the lead outside the margin of error I don't think Webb is going to win this afterall.

I can't wait for Governor Warner to hit the trail hard with Webb. He raised almost $300,000 for him in one night last week!

Thanks for the info, MAS. I was wondering how it went. Any idea how much the Grisham/King fundraiser pulled in? When is Bill Clinton coming?

I'm not sure how that event went. I know that General Zinni, and Wes Clark were in VA last week for Webb, and John Edwards did an event with Webb yesterday.

President Clinton will be in Philly in two weeks to do an event with Joe Sestak (PA-7th).

I think Webb probably needs more money than he is getting at the moment.  This is his second ad only so late in the campaign season; I thought he would surely have enough to self-fundraise, his background is pretty wealthy isn't it?

On Hardball today Mathews said that Webb raised $1 million in the last month, and that dosne't even include the $2 million he has raised since the primary. Webb is raising the money he needs to win this race.

Allen still seems to want to lose his race.  Granted, it turns out Sabato was hot air and just repeating hearsay, and had nothing, so maybe the next day's numbers will be better for Allen:

Secretary of State and Attorney General.

In Virginia, Senate Race is Unpredictable
In Virginia's U.S. Senate race, a new SurveyUSA poll finds Sen. George Allen (R-VA) with a slight edge over challenger Jim Webb (D), 49% to 44%.

Key findings: "Day-to-day data shows that the race is volatile. On Sunday 9/24, after Allen had been accused of using racial slurs in college, he led by 7 in SurveyUSA Sunday-only data . On Monday 9/25, after Allen strongly denied the accusations, he led by 11 in SurveyUSA Monday-only data. On Tuesday 9/26, after more people corroborated the accusations, Allen trailed Webb by 3 points, in Tuesday-only data. The 5-point Allen advantage shown here, when the 3 days of data are combined and averaged, cannot be considered stable."

The above is from Political Wire.
