If there is any recipe for an intolerable living situation, it's renting rooms in your house to people, only to find that they haven't been paying you rent for a year and a half and you can't evict them.

Meanwhile, you've all probably been spending lots of time together at home. You've probably seen them get and spend stimulus checks and unemployment benefits on things other than rent. You might be having trouble paying your mortgage.
